What you need:
- Webcam (see our recommendations).
- Internet connection. Minimal bandwidth delivers good quality video, 850 kbps or more upload bandwidth per session is required to run "Premium" HD sessions. See Video Quality descriptions below.
- Flash-enabled Internet browser (Adobe Flash Player 11 or higher)
- A PC capable of running the quality of session you intend to run. Refer to the Video Quality descriptions below. For single "Standard" or even "Advanced" sessions, a modest machine with an Intel Core CPU will suffice. Just about any machine produced in the last 5 or so years will do this. For multiple "Premium" HD sessions, you will need a much more powerful machine such as one with an Intel I7 Quad 3+ gHz. The more powerful the machine and the more upload bandwidth you have, the better you will look and the more money you will make.

Getting started is the easy part! EasyCam Plus is the default hosting method on iFriends. When you select the option to start a live session, you won't need to download software!

EasyCam plus is easy and smart! When you sign into a live session, EasyCam Plus will automatically check your bandwidth and select the best settings for your environment. If you need to change the settings, simply mouse over your video and select another quality setting under the drop down box.

Here is a rundown of the different settings Quality Settings:
- Standard: Requires about 250 kbps upload bandwidth PER SESSION and delivers a good quality 320x200 feed. Select this when you have little upload bandwidth or if a viewer complains of choppy video in any of the higher settings. Minimum machine requirements: Intel P4 2.0 GHz or equivalent processor, with 250 Kb/s UPLOAD bandwidth.
- Advanced: Requires 550 kbps or better of upload bandwidth PER SESSION. Delivers a 640x480 high quality feed. Select this when you meet the minimum bandwidth requirements and your viewers are happy with the fluidity of your feed. If your video is fluid, sharp, and of good-enough quality, the "Advanced" setting will generally result in an HQ designation on your session's profile. Minimum machine requirements: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or equivalent processor, with 550 Kb/s UPLOAD bandwidth.
- Premium: Requires 1 mbps or better of upload bandwidth PER SESSION and a bit more powerful machine than "Advanced". Delivers a 640x480 premium quality feed. Select this when you meet the minimum bandwidth requirements and your viewers are happy with the fluidity of your feed. If your video is fluid, sharp, and of good-enough quality, the "Premium" setting will generally result in an HD designation on your session's profile. Minimum machine requirements: Intel Core i3 3.0 GHz or equivalent processor, with 1 mbps UPLOAD bandwidth.
