Dear iFriends, I started here on iFriends 2 years ago on or around August 1st, 2003. I was working a dead end job making minimum wage and going to school. I then got the break of a lifetime and at the time I had no idea how big a break it was. I had just started dating this guy and he was really into porn and voyeurism. I had my occasional wet dream or two about the subject before, hehe. I remember like it was yesterday. I was working at a video rental store, you know the one that doesn’t sell porn (not cool, hehe). I remember that he kept on coming up to my work to get me to sign something and even go home once to take a picture for the age verification and then return to work. He worked also but was off that day so he was frantically trying to get it all done then. Well needless to say he did get it done and a couple of days later I was cleared to start hosting. I didn’t know what to do because I have never done anything like this before. So when I first started I did it after work. As I continued to work on iFriends I made more and more money and I knew I would eventually need an accountant for taxes. A friend of mine knew of this guy that does it on the side and could help me out. So I was set, I was making money doing something I love and I was doing it legally. On a side note ladies, I suggest if you're new at this and making alot of money and don’t have any saved up, that you put aside at least 30% of your check each week just for taxes ( if you live in the USA). I didn’t at first but now I do and it sure does save me for those quarterly payments. Four months passed and we decided that we wanted to do couple shows. We tried it a couple of times when he was off and it was great. So we would do the couple shows on one screen name and my solo shows on this one (JUSTME834U). We did well on the couples scene and after awhile he decided to give his two weeks notice at the country club he was working at and come work with me full time. I didn’t know much about what to do with the site and if there was a technical issue I would have to call him, so we thought this was best. I am so glad at the decision we made, I get to see him everyday and I love it. Then came HD or High Definition. I was one of the lucky ones to take iFriends up on their loaner program to use the HD camcorder, but It was still early in my iFriends career that they really turned out terrible. I didn’t know jack about lighting, but now I do thanks to a very helpful website all thanks to AMANDA36C (http://amanda36c.myifriends.net/lighting101/page1.html). I only did around 27 videos and now with the booming popularity of HD I wish that I could have another opportunity to do more. Lighting and location is key and if you have another person to do them with along with solo, you should definitely take advantage of that, unlike what I did, but I was new and really didn’t think the whole HD thing would catch on like it did, boy was I wrong. I am working on saving enough for a HD camcorder but as a lot of you already know they aren’t light. Two years have passed and I have since moved out of my boyfriends apartment, got my own apartment, started using a high end camcorder to do my live shows, dedicated a room to my live shows with a really cute daybed. I also got a really nice SUV ( 29.9% financing really sucks for a first timer, been paying on it for a year and a half now ) and the pride of everything I have, a cute little Pomeranian puppy.
